Solar maintenance and repair

Panels lose output to dust, and batteries need their settings checked. An annual plan keeps your system producing what you paid for. We also repair and service systems installed by other companies, after an inspection.

Annual maintenance plan

From KSh 12,000 a year. Free for the first 12 months on every system we install.

  • Two scheduled visits a year: cleaning, inspection and a torque check on every fixing
  • Inverter firmware and battery management review
  • Annual output report against your commissioning baseline
  • Priority callout, with a same-day response in working hours
  • Fault diagnosis and repair, with parts at cost

Repairs and systems installed by others

If your system was installed by someone else and is not performing, we can help. We inspect it first and tell you honestly what is wrong, then quote for the repair or for taking it onto a maintenance plan. If an installation is unsafe we will say so plainly, and we will not cover it until it is put right.

Start by sending photos of the inverter screen, the battery and the panels on WhatsApp.

Signs your system needs attention

  • Your Kenya Power bill is creeping back up with no change in how you use power
  • The battery runs out earlier in the evening than it used to
  • Error codes or warning lights on the inverter
  • Visible dust, bird droppings or new shade from a growing tree on the panels
  • Damp, stains or leaks near roof fixings

What you can do yourself

Rinse the panels with clean water two or three times a year in the dry season, early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the glass is cool. Do not use detergents or abrasive brushes, and do not climb onto a roof that is not safe to walk on. Leave anything electrical to a qualified technician.

Our response times

For systems we install, faults are acknowledged within 24 hours and attended within 72, wherever you are in Kenya, and that is written into your contract.
