Solar installation in all 47 counties of Kenya

We install anywhere in Kenya, from county towns to farms with no grid connection at all. The system prices are the same everywhere. The only difference outside Nairobi is transport, which we quote at survey so you know the figure before you commit.

How installation works outside Nairobi

  1. Start remotely. Send your last Kenya Power bill, or a list of what you want to run if you are off-grid, on WhatsApp. We reply within 24 hours with a written estimate.
  2. Survey and transport figure. We survey the site and give you the transport and travel figure at the same time, in writing.
  3. Written quote. One installed price for the system, plus transport, and the monthly output we guarantee.
  4. Installation by our own technicians, usually one day on site.
  5. Commissioning with a metered output reading that becomes your performance guarantee.

Prices

The system prices are the same in every county: KSh 289,000 (5 kWh), KSh 349,000 (7.5 kWh), KSh 429,000 (10 kWh) and KSh 599,000 (15 kWh), installed, with no VAT. Transport and travel outside Nairobi are added at survey. Monthly payment plans are available everywhere. Details are on our solar prices page.

Sun across Kenya

Kenya averages about five peak sun hours a day with little seasonal swing, which is one of the better solar resources in the world. It does vary by region, and parts of the north and east receive more sun than the highlands. Our published output figures are modelled on Nairobi; your quote uses the figure for your location, and every system is confirmed by a metered reading at commissioning.

Off-grid solar

If your home, farm or business has no Kenya Power connection, or the line is too far to be worth connecting, the battery is the system: everything after sunset comes from it. We size off-grid systems against the loads you need to run, including pumps and machinery, rather than against a bill.

Common questions

Do you install solar outside Nairobi?

Yes, in all 47 counties. System prices are the same everywhere; transport and travel outside Nairobi are quoted separately at survey, before you commit.

Can you install off-grid solar where there is no Kenya Power connection?

Yes. For off-grid sites the battery carries everything after sunset, so we size the system against the loads you need to run, including pumps and machinery.

Does solar work as well outside Nairobi?

Kenya averages about five peak sun hours a day, and some regions receive more than Nairobi. We use the figure for your location in your quote and confirm output with a metered reading at commissioning.
