Why Nairobi homes and businesses are going solar
- A lower bill. Most Nairobi homes and businesses use more than 100 units a month, which puts them on the highest domestic tariff band. With pass-through charges, levies and VAT, we estimate a unit costs around KSh 29. Every unit your panels produce and you use is one you no longer buy.
- No blackouts. When the grid goes down, a hybrid system with a battery carries your home or premises straight through, with no generator, no fuel and no noise.
- An asset, not a bill. A system costs roughly two to three years of the bill it replaces, then keeps working for years after.
How it works
- Send your bill. Share your last Kenya Power bill on WhatsApp or use the savings calculator. We reply within 24 hours with a written estimate on your own numbers.
- Free survey. A technician visits to check your roof, shade, wiring and the loads you actually run.
- Written quote. Every component itemised, one installed price, and the monthly output we guarantee.
- Installation. Our own technician installs, usually in one day, within five working days of payment.
- Commissioning. We test the system with you and take a metered output reading, which becomes your performance guarantee.

Homes, shops and businesses
For homes, the 7.5 kWh system suits most families. For shops, salons, offices and guesthouses that trade in daylight, solar pays back fastest of all, because generation and use line up. See solar for business.
Already have solar?
